WSFA-TV reporter Norman Lumpkin interviewing Joe McCorquodale in front of the Capitol during the inauguration of Governor Fob James in downtown Montgomery, Alabama.

McCorquodale was the speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives from 1971 to 1983 and Lumpkin was the first African American reporter at WSFA-TV, where he worked from 1969 to 1992.
