Summary: | This image is the first of two watercolor conceptual paintings of an automobile assembly plant done by Brendon A. Bond in 1941. The painting shows an aerial view of the plant buildings including one with a chimney and of the grounds with a test track, transportation docks; water tower, parking lots, surrounding grass, and trees on the outer edges of the complex. At the bottom of the painting are a front view of the main building with its doors and a cross section of the interior. The painting has the title: "Paris Prize 1941" and the caption which reads: "Windowless, economical operation, flexible, controlled light & air, blast resistant, easy to camouflage." The painting is in poor condition missing major pieces from the top and bottom edges and is encapsulated.
